  • Urban Kiz is a modern partner dance that originated from Kizomba, Semba, and other dance styles from PALOP countries (Portuguese-speaking African countries). Originating in France, Urban Kiz has integrated a multitude of other styles (hip-hop, tango) and is danced to music with elements from Hip-hop, R&B, Ghetto-Zouk, Afrobeats, and much more!

  • You do not need a partner to attend! We rotate frequently during our classes so you can experience dancing with different people. If you come with a partner and do not wish to rotate, rotation is not required.

  • Comfortable and breathable clothes that you don’t mind sweating in and allow for flexibility. If you do not own dance shoes, then we recommend comfortable shoes with a smooth bottom sole that allows for turning and twisting.

  • If you are coming for the first time, your first class is free!!

    After your free trial class, registration is required for our Mondays Level 1 Introductory Series and Thursday All Levels class. Please register on our Classes & Schedule page. Specialty bootcamp series, other workshops, and Level 2+ drop are open for drop ins.

  • If you’re coming for the first time, your first class is free!!

    Otherwise drop-ins are allowed for our Level 2+ class on Mondays. Drop-ins are NOT ALLOWED for our Thursday All Levels class, and registration is required for our Level 1 Introductory Series after your first free trial class.
